ISO 29463-2:2011 specifies the aerosol production and measuring equipment used for testing high-efficiency filters and filter media in accordance with ISO 29463-3, ISO 29463-4 and ISO 29463-5, as well as the statistical basis for particle counting with a small number of counted events. It is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 29463-1, ISO 29463-3, ISO 29463-4 and ISO 29463-5.

Le présent document constitue la partie 2 d'une norme en 5 parties qui définit les essais de performance des filtres à air EPA, HEPA et ULPA permettant de déterminer leur efficacité à partir du comptage de particules au moyen d'un aérosol d'essai liquide ou solide et de classer ces filtres en fonction de leur efficacité, locale ou globale. Le présent document décrit les instruments de mesure et les générateurs d'aérosol utilisés au cours de ces essais. Pour ce qui est du comptage de particules, il spécifie les bases statiques de l'évaluation des comptages effectués sur un nombre limité d'événements. La classification, les essais de performance et le marquage des filtres sont spécifiés dans la NF EN 1822-1. Les dispositifs d'essai sont décrits dans la NF EN 1822-3, NF EN 1822-4 et NF EN 1822-5.
