Le présent document décrit la méthode de référence utilisée pour les essais de type et, en cas de conflit, pour la détermination de la résistance au gel-dégel des granulats légers selon l'EN 13055. D'autres méthodes peuvent être utilisées à d'autres fins telles que la maîtrise de la production des granulats, à condition que des corrélations appropriées avec une méthode de référence aient été établies. L'essai est applicable aux granulats légers d'une granularité comprise entre 4 mm et 32 mm.
