Il couvre les essais effectués avec des substances définies afin d'évaluer les changements de caractéristiques (décoloration, changement de brillant, cloquage, ramollissement, gonflement et perte d'adhérence) . L'évaluation d'autres phénomènes peut faire l'objet d'un accord entre les parties intéressées.
