Le présent document spécifie les dimensions et les caractéristiques des rondelles planes de forme circulaire de grade C, de diamètre nominal de 8 mm à 20 mm inclus, et des plaquettes de forme carrée de grade C, de diamètre nominal de 16 mm à 30 mm inclus, destinées à être montées avec des boulons pour bois ou autres fixations similaires. Ces rondelles et plaquettes sont prévues pour protéger la surface de pièces en matériaux à base de bois lors du serrage, et pour mieux répartir la pression sous tête de vis ou sous écrou. Ces rondelles et ces plaquettes sont principalement utilisées dans le bâtiment.
